Rabbit Care Guide

Are you planning to make a pet for your home? We also share all you need to know about looking after  your rabbit

Housing

They must have a big cage or hutch. Rabbits indoors should be allowed to run daily outdoors, outdoor sheds must both protect them from the elements  and predators.

Diet

Make sure your rabbit diet consists of plenty of hay (75-80% of overall diet), with fresh veggies and high-fiber pellets. Always provide fresh water.

Fresh Veggies

Feed 1-2 cups daily of fresh veggies (romaine lettuce, parsley) Do not go for iceberg lettuce since it is nutritionally poor!

Grooming

Regularly brush your rabbit, especially when he is moulting. Shaggy breeds on the other hand will develop huge matts of fur and hairballs if you do not groom them regularly.

Exercise

Rabbits need about 3 to 4 hours outside the cage every day. Go for toys, tunnels and protect areas that allow them to stay active.

Socialization

Rabbits are social animals. Bond with Fuel by gentle petting, treats and being near them. They love companionship.

Vet Care

Rabbit's should be checked by a vet at least once a year. Keep an eye out for dental problems and stomach issues  that require immediate attention.

Spaying/Neutering

Neutering your rabbit can also prevent cancer, make them less aggressive/fearful as they grow up and help with litter training.
